A 'Now' Page, and Why You Need One

A Now Page

I became aware of the concept of a now page thanks to my home LLM/AI, oddly enough. The theory is pretty straightforward- essentially “what is this person working on, what are they doing, who are they in a nutshell?”.

The idea isn’t the ’latest updates per social media’ but instead a more comprehensive, holistic approach (quoted from nownownow.com asking “isn’t this what social media is for?”):

No. If I wonder how someone is doing these days, it doesn’t help me to see that they went on vacation last week, are upset about something in the news, or even got a new job. That’s not the big picture.

So I’ve decided to add one too! here’s where it’ll live going forward. For the latest happenings tracking what’s going on in my life it’ll be a static/constantly updated page tracking my projects and goals (both achieved and not!)

What’s the broader point here? Ideally to hold myself accountable. Going month-to-month (or every so often… let’s not get ambitious) I’d like to retroactively update that page with links to posts or documentation surrounding my goals, and update future goals to ensure I keep setting new missions for myself.
